Dr. Kraabel grew up on Vashon Island with two veterinarians as parents. As a child, he spent many hours at his parents’ veterinary hospital, where he witnessed the continual challenge and realities of veterinary medicine. He also got to appreciate their personal fulfillment and love of the profession as well as the human-animal bond.
During veterinary school and WSU, Dr. Kraabel developed a passion for anesthesia and pain management. Currently, he is partnering with a veterinary anesthesiologist developing software that aids veterinarians in implementing specialty level anesthesia and pain management in general practice.
In his spare time, Dr. Kraabel enjoys yard work, camping, hiking, and spending time with his cat Augustus.
