Dr. Kraabel grew up on Vashon Island with two veterinarians as parents. From an early age, he spent many hours at his parents’ veterinary hospital, where he witnessed the continual challenges and realities of veterinary medicine. He also got to appreciate their personal fulfillment and love of the profession, as well as the human-animal bond. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Washington State University, where he developed strong interests in internal medicine, anesthesia, and pain management.

Dr. Kraabel is a part-owner of Cascade Heights Veterinary Center and is proud to serve his community in this role. He is passionate about strengthening the bond between people and their pets by providing high-quality medical care and helping extend his patients’ lives.

Outside of work, Dr. Kraabel enjoys gardening, working out, biking, traveling, and attending Seattle Mariners games. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, Lena, his son, Cooper, and his pets, including two cats, Nini and Auggie, and his Golden Retriever, Hank.
